Concrete specialist, Mr. Bean, lends the Mason, Mr. Leo, a hand and trowel as they complete the entryway onto our deck. This deck overlooks our property and the National Forest to the west side while the tall side of the tree house overlooks southern direction with a 12 o’clock straight line towards the tip of Avant, a peninsula surrounded by ake Ouachita, one or the country’s largest man-made lakes.

A career public relations professional for 25 years, I made an ubiquitous lifestyle change and am now self employed. As I continue contract work for a local business, I also enjoy marketing my own famous salsa along with selling quartz crystal in the local market and online. I have found my own natural resources are my most enthusiastic campaigns. I seek simplicity and stillness. I had learned the impractical lifestyle of stress and scheduling and late hours. I had become one of those "late" people who always runs into the meeting with one shoe and a purse in my hand. I, by nature, am a habitually early person. This was my first clue that I had transformed, the beginning of my plans to pursue a more quiet and less 'scheduled' life. Now, it's much easier to enjoy things including time with my family. I would rather forgo all the money I had climbed that ladder for. Now I get it, nothing is worth sacrificing family and free time. Now, I laugh all the time. View all posts by rhymaka
